Whether you are looking for Radomes, Fire & Safety Cabinets or a completely new tailored and bespoke GRP Composite product, we have a motivated and enthusiastic team that aims to offer the best product for your application. We will work with you from initial concept, feasibility and scoping, provide information and drawings for your tender, right through to manufacturing and delivery.

Heywood Composites active primarily in the truck and bus market.

Heywood Composites buys the IP for a design done for Orbit, of a polyester fabric single skin radome.

Present management buys Heywood Composites and changes name to Heywood Technologies.

The part of this company making GRP Fire & Safety Cabinets and the fledgling radome business becomes Micris Ltd.

Focusing on radomes, Micris works with Manchester University to develop software to predict the RF performance up to 4GHz of various lay-ups. This is so advanced for its time, Qinetiq carries out a complimentary Technical Review of Micris’s capabilities.

Micris works with Liverpool University as part of UK Government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership Program to develop and test new radome materials.

Predictive software developed to work up to 15GHz.

Micris works with the University of Valencia on materials and lay-up designs suitable for use up to 35GHz. Predictive software developed to work up to 40GHz.

Micris moves into new premises with new oven and other state of the art facilities.

We are very proud to be an Orbit Approved Vendor with an ‘Exceptional’ Approval Rating.
